You may have noticed some friendly dinosaurs sitting atop the desk at your local Houston County Public Library. They are placed within your reach as a reminder that giving can be fun!
Each library is home to both a green and purple dino. When change is placed into the dino’s “mouth,” it proceeds down his long neck and into his belly, where the change can be seen. This is fun for both young children and adults who are still young at heart.
While our dinos represent a fun and exciting way to give back to the library, they are crucial to our program implementation. Each library branch depends heavily upon monies given to the dino to fund memorable programs, educational crafts, and special performers among other valuable resources. With small donations, we can give back to our community in a big way.
If you are a regular contributor to our library dinos, we send sincere gratitude and hope that you are able to continue to your donations. If you would like more information about our library dinos or would like to make a donation to the library, drop by your local Houston County Library branch or contact us at 478.987.3050.
