How do I sign up for a library card?
When you register for a library card you will need to verify your name and current address by presenting one piece of identification and something with your current residential address if not on the identification.
How do I get a card if I'm under 18?
Your parent or legal guardian must bring proper ID and proof of current physical address and be present to sign the application card.
I lost my card, how do I get a new one?

Library staff can access your account with your photo ID and we will replace your card at no charge.

You can also use the PINES App to access your library card.

How many items can I check out?
You may check out up to 50 items (with a limit of 15 DVDs and 10 eBooks/eAudiobooks through GADD) per library card, as long as your account is in good standing.
How long do items check out?
Books, DVDs, and audiobooks check out for 14 days. Attraction passes check out for 1 week.
How can I renew my items?
You can renew items at the library, over the phone, on the PINES app, or online. Even overdue items can be renewed.
What is the late charge?
Fines on most items are 20¢ per day per item.
An item I placed on hold has arrived. How long do I have to pick it up?
We hold items for 5 business days from the time of your notification. You may be notified by either email, phone, or text message.
Can I access my library account online?
You can access your account through the PINES app or through houpl.org. You can search the catalog, view your checkouts, pay fines, renew items, and place holds. Just click on My Account and type in your library card number and your PIN.

If you have concerns or suggestions about the books / DVDs / eBook and eAudios in the library's collection, please contact the library director
