Friends of the Library are concerned citizens who share the belief that a strong public library is a valuable intellectual, cultural, educational and recreational resource in the community. Through their volunteer activities and fund raising efforts, Friends assist the Library in developing programs to meet community needs.

Since 2005 the Friends have donated more than $354,795.11 to the library system for the purchase of books, audio books, materials and children’s programs.

Support the Houston County Public Library system by:

• Donating gently used books at any Houston library
• Buying used books & media from the Lobby Sales at each library branch
• Volunteering to work at the annual Old Book Sale.
Attending the annual Friends of the Library Old Book Sale!

The Houston County Friends of the Library is now part of the Kroger© Community Rewards program! Please consider signing up to support Houston County Libraries.

You can sign up at the Kroger© website with your Kroger© Plus card. The Friends NPO number is 18951. You will need this number during the registration process. If you don’t have a Kroger© Plus card, you can ask for one at a Kroger© customer service desk.

Please share this news with friends, family and neighbors. The more people who sign up under our NPO number, the more FOL can support Houston County Libraries.
